NMC and Thanksgiving

We found out Nelson loves pickles!

This is at the b-ball scrimmage- Nelson is the ladies' man.

We went to the national Missionary convention and tried to go swimming- but it was really cold. So the stairs were as far as we got. But the conference was really good!

Our trip to see Kyle was great. We had a ton of fun and the boys were excellent on the long car rides.

Kyle had to work on Friday so we went to the Insectarium and then walked around the French Quarter. It was really cool to see everything.

October moments

As many of you know, I've been slowly re-modeling/re-decorating our house. The bathroom is the most recently finished project. I'm very pleased with the end result even though in the middle of it I was seriously stressed out!
The next pictures are of my dining room. The bottom picture is before I tore the lovely, but not exactly my style, wallpaper down, the other picture is after I painstakingly spent hours tearing off wallpaper. Hopefully in a few more weeks I will be able to post a picture after I have finished with another room!!

Sterling and his friend Kallie skipping along together.

For Halloween Nelson and I were mama and baby lion, Sterling was Robin Hood and Luke was Little John. We went "trick or treating" but Sterling didn't want to say trick or treat, and we only went to my grandparents' houses. After that we went to the church for the harvest party. Both boys had a blast there. Sterling got to play games, decorate a cookie, go on a hay ride (as well as ride in the tractor with my dad) and we did the cake walk.

Reading library books while daddy works

Visiting Rosy and Francie when they came to stay in French Lick, IN. The boys had fun.

My birthday breakfast burrito (and also, apparently, an add for the "great value" wal-mart brand). Luke made it for me and it was GOOD!

October

We've been going to Kara's volleyball games all fall and the boys have volleyball t-shirts they wear to the games. We tye-died them and put Kara's number on the back- so they are pretty awesome. The only problem is that everyone thinks Nelson is a girl because he's wearing purple (he is a very pretty boy). Sterling took this first picture, if that explains the quality at all.

Sterling was having an awesome hair day.

We went to the Greencastle Fire Dept. Open house a few weeks ago. The boys got to climb up in a fire truck.

Nelson finally got that cheeseburger he's been dying for all this time! I was trying to tear little bits off for him, but when I turned around to help Sterling with his milk, Nelson had the entire sandwich in his mouth! Hilarious. I haven't given him a hamburger since then, I don't think it's the best food for a nine month old :)

The Best Looking Cowboys in Indiana

These are my adorable cowboys. They've been having a blast feeding cows that are almost directly in our backyard. They also all helped with a cattle sale that my dad was doing for the Willer Family. Sterling made friends with everyone there and worked from 6:30 every morning until 7 at night when I would make him go home and bathe. They seriously love being outside and working- and I love it too!!

Random bits of life

We went out to dinner on Labor Day with my family and some friends. Luke took a picture of me and the boys. This is pretty much the first time Nelson has ever worn shoes. Cute!

Riding in the truck- Nelson KNOWS when the black dodge pulls in our driveway and he starts bouncing and screaming because he wants to go ride and see the cows. Its stinkin' adorable.

We got to go apple picking a few weeks ago and the apples were good, Sterling loved it, and Nelson thought the cider was awesome. It was a good day :) If you are thinking Sterling has a goofy hair cut, you would be right. Fortunately we recently got it fixed and it looks MUCH better. For a while he was looking like Jim Carey on Dumb and Dumber with the blunt hair cut and chipped tooth.

I took the boys to the zoo with some of our friends. This is the whole bunch of them. My oldest son is the one with the huge green John Deere hat. Of course.

A cute picture of Sterling doing the usual- farming until it gets dark.
