Kayla's Prom

Before Kayla's prom, Sterling had been outside farming with Grandad, so he was hot and a little cranky by the time 4pm came around. But he's still looking pretty cute in this picture.

Here's the whole fam together-- we're not all looking our best like Kayla was!

Me and my sisters

Sterling was having an afternoon snack with his uncle Kyle. Sterling would just lay there and sort of grunt when he wanted another cracker or drink. Every once in a while he would brush the crumbs off of Kyle's shirt, which was pretty funny to see him do.

This is my great grandma, sterling's great great. We wanted to get a 5 generation picture.

For Luke's birthday we had a very busy day. First we went out to breakfast, then we went to the children's museum. While we were there Sterling had the time of his life running around like crazy. We tried to get a good picture of him and luke together, but he couldn't even slow down long enough to ever get a decent picture. Then we went to dinner with my family at chili's (one of luke's favorites) and then my family took sterling home while we went to the movies! It was a very fun day.

But then the morning after Luke's b-day he left for a mission trip to Cumberland, KY where they were doing a men's service trip. So it was just me and Sterling for a few days, and let me tell you, we had some interesting times. The first picture was from when he tore the curtains down because he's learned how to climb up on the bench in our living room. The second picture was when he woke up one morning with CRAZY hair. I don't think the picture does it justice. I was really glad when Luke got back home!

Easter

On Easter morning we were really excited to give sterling his easter present, but he was more excited about his cheerios-- he wouldn't even look at his present until after he ate!

We got him a Bible and my parents got him some clothes

We never could get a good picture of him in his tie- he wasn't too thrilled to be dressed up, although he never did mess with it or try to tear it off. We had a fun day of eating and hunting eggs at my grandparent's house.

More Spring Break and Play Group

These pictures are from when Kyle came home for the weekend to play with Sterling. They had fun on the trampoline and before too long everyone wanted in on the fun! The last picture is from Sterling's play group that we go to every Tuesday morning at the church. It's fun for me to be with the other moms and fun for him to play with other kids.

Cindy's birthday, Spring Break

Since I have the time, I'm going to go ahead and just keep posting more pictures...this is a rare opportunity that I have to be able to use the internet, have pictures downloaded, and not have to keep Sterling happy (his dad is watching him right now!)
Some of these pictures are from Luke's mom's surprise birthday party we had for her. It was so much fun to be there with her and Luke's family to celebrate. The other pictures were taken in the last week when my family was on spring break and we all played outside with Sterling every day!

Sterling at his Best

ok, so my pictures did come up, I'm just having some technical difficulties, please excuse me!! :)
I can't actually see my pictures when I'm doing this post for SOME reason that I don't understand, so I can't write comments under them, but what I can tell you is that these are all just pictures from the last couple of weeks. Sterling has enjoyed the warm weather SOOO much and is now depressed that it's so cold out again. He got to go visit his cousin Blake and they had fun taking a walk in the strollers together. Sterling also gets to lead his grandad around everywhere on the farm-- he's done a lot of exploring over the last couple of weeks! I think the picture of him in his hat looks like he's doing some dance move or something- it cracks me up :)

Well, I don't know what's going on but I can't get any of my pictures to come up...sorry!

A Lot of Different Things

A group of girlfriends and I went to San Diego a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. I actually didn't have any pictures of the entire group on this computer, so this is just a picture of my friend Carolyn and I. We all enjoyed the beautiful weather, the beach, shopping, eating and the movies!

These are all of Sterling's girlfriends :) This was taken back in February when Kayla and Kara's friends came over to spend the night at our house. It was quite a party for Sterling! He loved all the attention.

This is Sterling and his cousin Blake. I tried and tried to get a good picture of them together but couldn't ever get one that both of them were looking at the same time. (hopefully we can get one this weekend when we come to Iowa). Sterling is chewing on a plastic pig--we think he has a thing for pigs.

This is Sterling and his Papa Tom. They always have a great time together because Sterling thinks Tom is a lot of fun!

Well, I know I've been bad about not posting very many pictures, and even these are really old, but I will keep trying to do the best I can. I have new pictures on my camera, but they just haven't gotten on the computer yet. I promise to get new pics soon!

Sterling's birthdays

Here is Sterling on the actual day of his birthday (wearing his b-day shirt from his friend Carolyn:) He was really sick though, and didn't have too much fun celebrating that day.
We left the day after his birthday and headed west to visit some churches and some of Sterling's cousins. In the top picture is Sidney and Emma, the bottom picture is Skyler and Sterling fighting over the John Deere.

Here is the breathing treatment that Sterling had to do all week because he was sick. It was a pretty pathetic sight, but he's done with them now and he's feeling a lot better. We usually put his video on while he had to do them so that he could have a distraction.
And here he is celebrating his birthday for the second time in St. Louis. He was feeling a lot better by this time.

Luke and Kacie

I meant to put this picture on my last post but I didn't get it on there, so here it is.

Icy Indiana

We went ice skating on Friday night with our friends Brad and Heather. While we were there "cupid" showed up in a swim suit, curly wig, bike helmet and a scarf....and that's it! He had never skated before and was evidently at the skating rink for some sort of TV show or publicity stunt. It was pretty hilarious.

The weather has been FREEZING lately and we just got about a foot of snow and ice. School has been out and we've been going out and having my dad pull us on a sled behind the truck. It's been fun but very very cold :) Sterling rode in the truck with my dad and had a lot of fun watching us. He wore old carhartts that probably belonged to me when I was little!

Cold Weather!

It has been SO cold here in Indiana for the last week or so. The schools have had 2 hour delays every day this week because every morning it is below zero and the wind chill is usually about -15. It also snowed a lot on Tuesday so Luke and my sister Kayla took Sterling outside to experience snow for the first time! He actually loved it and didn't want to come back inside even though he was freezing. We put socks on his hands because we don't have any mittens :)
Sterling's most favorite thing to do right now is walk around with someone (anyone!) holding his hand. Here he is with his aunt Kayla making laps around our house. Last night he made laps around the basketball court with my dad while Luke was playing. He thinks he's pretty big stuff.

Just Playing

Sterling has been a little bit sick lately. He's had a fever and now a runny nose. So he's been lounging in his little chair, cuddling with his pig. When he's sick he really likes to just chill and watch his baby einstein video :)
I just think this picture is kind of cute. He looks really grown up. He can walk all over the place now, although he still prefers to have someone hold his hand!
Here he is supporting the Colts! We had to wear Colts blue a whole lot lately and luckily Sterling got this little shirt for Christmas. In the picture he's holding the new tractor that Luke bought him. It's got soft tires so he loves to drive it all over the place.
